600 million Samsung phones are now vulnerable to hacking

As per a report from New secure 600 million Samsung phones are now vulnerable to hacking and have security risk. Yes if you are reading this blog do not get surprised as this has come from a true finding from Security Company in Uk. As per the finding millions of Samsung users are vulnerable to remote hack or malware attack. The vulnerable part of the phone is in its swiftkey keyboard. In most of the Samsung galaxy phones swift key keyboards come pre-installed and the keyboards cannot be uninstalled.

What hackers can do with this vulnerability?

1.      They can creep through the phone’s GPS, camera and microphone. You may guess what disaster one can do with it.

2.      By secretly planting malware in your phone hackers can steal sensitive information from your phone like picture, videos etc.



3.      Your incoming and outgoing calls may be secretly listened and recorded.

4.      You phone applications can be tampered

 

New secure has brought the vulnerability to public after notifying Samsung in Nov 2014. Samsung asked for 3 months to sort out this issue but as the issue was not properly addressed.

Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Min are the most affected devices.
