Band Baaja Barat review

Band Baaja Baaraat
Genere : Social/Drama/Romantic Comedy
Director : Maneesh Sharma
Cast : Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Manmeet Singh
Band Baaja Barat is a complete family entertainer
It seems like films based on Romantic comedy make an impact, after Break ke Baad we have another film with an different story and an easy-going plot that the audience can easily co-relate. This a film that is made for all but specially targeted for family audience. It has got rating of 3.5 which is impressive.
Being the latest creation of Yash Raj Films it must have its brand value…………..It is produced by Aditya chopra. Anushka is undoubtedly proved her to be lucky for Yash Raj Bandwagon. She has not only proved herself in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi as the one who has guts to play big roles in bollywood but also she mesmerised cine audiences across the globe with her sizzling, sweet saccharine beauty and acting prowess. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was her debut movie where she was cast opposite to the one and only king khan who is not only a crowd puller but man of magnificent fan following.
This time Yash Raj Banner wanted to introduce a very fresh, new and lively actor to the world of Hindi Cinema, hence Anushka’s role may dominate Ranveer as he is a new face for us ………….but i believe this film has given a great opportunity to Ranveer to win hearts and accolades with the showcase of his talent .
Anushka Sharma who is playing the character of Shruti is a serious, ambitious girl in her 20s from a middle class delhi family with career plans for her while she is still in the final year of graduation while Bittoo ( Ranveer) is a fun-loving, carefree, easy going lad who had no seriousness and plans for business until he meets Anushka ( Shruti) and then as we know hindi films make hero and heroine meet unexpectedly without reason and we call it destiny, hence destiny made them meet and a business plan was conceived. Do you know what the business plan…is? Haha…its business of wedding planning. Here the writer has carefully taken the idea of wedding planning just to strengthen the script by giving spice to the film and when the wedding planners are a young good looking man anda beautiful girl you can imagine how it can set ground for romance and then love. But as per the guideline of their business they have a clearly make it a note that Jisse vyapaar Karo usse kabhi na Pyaar Karo (Business and love do not go hand in hand or don’t mix business and love together). Anyway their so-called business plan goes through the ups and down of usual business affairs and in the course of its journey they realise that they have fallen in love with each other.
1st part of the movie is hilarious and romantic while the 2nd part is slow andstretching……………Its good watch for a light, cool weekend as the last weekend had seriously voilent movies like Rakta charitra 2 …..But this week you have two options…. one is a romantic comedy and the other is a pure comedy … multi-starrer No Problem.
