Death of Gajendra Singh made headlines

Death of Gajendra Singh, 41 from Dausa Rajasthan stirred wide agitation and unrest across the country. The incident shook the current BJP govt so much so that they have to keep the Land Acquisition Bill on hold temporarily.

The incident took place during a rally of AAP when Gajendra Singh killed himself by hanging from a tree. Delhi police blamed on AAP workers who instead of normalizing the situation further aggravated it by hurling slogans and motivating Gajendra Singh to take such a step. AAP members however denied such allegations saying they called up the police when they saw Gajendra Singh climbed a tree and tried shown signs of killing himself by hanging from the tree.



BJP and Congress workers staged protest against chief minister Arvind kejriwal and held him responsible for the incident.

As per the investigation it was found that Gajendra Singh has sound financial state and he was not even eligible for crop loss compensation. Only farmers having more than 33% crop loss are eligible for compensation.
