President Obama’s visit to India is too expensive

President Obama lands in Mumbai today, a very eventful day indeed, he is in India on a three day official visit and he will spend his time between Mumbai and New Delhi. Each day of his stay is estimated to be worth 200 million USD/day (About 900 crore in Indian currency). As the US president he has got the highest level of security with 34 warships for his security with that his own Air Force one which is lashed with all kind of modern security arrangements. These high security measures have been taken due to the recent Mumbai attack that took place. The Mumbai coast is specially patrolled by the warships in order to ensure high level of protection. Obama is expected to fly by Marine One- a very advanced helicopter from Mumbai airport to the Indian Navy’s helibase INS Shikra at Colaba in south Mumbai. 800 hotel rooms are booked for the president and his white house officials and security agents. The president will be guarded by the American secrete agents along with the NSG personnel. A fleet of 40 cars will be a part of his covey while similar arrangements are done in New Delhi where the president will have his important activities; Hotel Maurya has been swarmed by the security from both sides and the Air force one will be in service throughout his visit. All sorts of security devices will be used during need for instance the interception, obstruction devices will aid the security.
