OYO Rooms Complaints

Ritesh Agarwal’s OYO hotels started is undoubtedly the largest hotel chain in India, they have named it OYO Rooms. Their USP is clean budget hotels across India. They have presence in 500 cities in Indian and they have reached other countries like China, Malaysia, Nepal, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan. In total they have over 4,50,000 rooms in January 2019.

Now the question is how OYO as a service provider or a face behind several hotel rooms in India and Abroad.

OYO has several mixed reviews. There are hundreds of negative reviews received by visitors across India.

In comment section you can see several complaints on OYO hotel.

In consumer complaint forum they have over 2300 complaints against them.

Several of these complaints are based on following points,

1. Misbehavior by hotel staff
2. Inadequate facilities as shown in OYO hotel website
3. Non-Refund of money 
4. Agreed hotel price changed after booking
5. Money charged for AC room and then given Non-AC rom
6. TV not available in booked room
7. Poor Room cleaning and Room service
8. Insects in room 
9. Bath room in dirty condition
10. Water leakage issue in bath room

11. Substandard food served in several hotels
