Pakistan violates ceasefire once again

Pakistan violated ceasefire for the 10th time in this month dampening the efforts of India-Pakistan Ties. Pakistan troops today opened heavy fire along the LOC in poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Indian Army responded in retaliation.

This violation of ceasefire is unprovoked and it will surly dampen the prospects of Indo-pak peace convention, said Lt. Col Manish Mehta. As per reports Pakistan troops fired heavily at the Indian forward posts located in Balnoie sub-sector of poonch district around 0800 hour. There was no causality reported from that area.

This is the tenth ceasefire violation since October 1. Seven out of the 10 violations took place along the LOC in poonch and three along the IB in Jammu.

On October 1 and 2, Pakistan Army started violating the ceasefire two times along the LOC in poonch resuling in injuries to six persons and damage to few houses.

On October 2, Pakistan troops fired mortar bombs at the border hamlets in forward areas along the LOC in Jammu and Kashmir Poonch districts resulting in the injuries of six civilians. From their onwards there has been constant violation of ceasefire.

There have been hundred violations of ceasefire by Pakistan Army along the LOC in the recent months.
